personality and psychological testing - variable tests and rates
office consultation time with Dr. Abess for any reason - $255 / hr (proportionately less when lower increments of time are possible). Available services include evaluations, second opinions, consultations, psychotherapy, practical advice, marital/couples work, medication management, medical hypnosis, review of medical records.BP checks -- no charge
The following added services are available only to patients of Dr. Abessdirect secure email communication with the office and Dr. Abess for non-urgent matters (most communications are free - medical decision making and therapeutic encounters entail a $25 fee)telephone or televideo treatment sessions (equipment compatibility necessary) when you are traveling, unable to leave home, are ill, or out of the country (not currently reimbursed by 3rd party health insurance)
medication prescription forwarding via express postal service or fax service to almost any place in the world (currently without charge)
direct access to Dr. Abess' personal cell phone (bypass answering service) for annual subscription fee. Details available by request.
Hospital Service
Day Patient Program for a variety of problems including anxiety, depression, chronic pain, workplace injury rehabilitation, crises intervention, medical illness coping, psychological factors affecting medical conditions...Partial Hospital Program designed to prevent an impending hospitalization and to reduce the duration of an existing hospitalizationInpatient Treatment at Bon Secours St. Francis Xavier Hospital - individual rooms in a new medical environment. This unit is reserved for individuals having high intensity physical and psychiatric symptoms.
Hospital Consultation at Bon Secours St. Francis Xavier Hospital and Roper Hospital. Dr. Abess will visit you in these hospitals to make certain your medications remain properly adjusted and to provide emotional and psychological support.
